ABOUT ME
My studies in Chinese medicine created an understanding between body, soul and spirit. Through further training and constant interest in the subject matter, I am able to continually deepen my insight. This resonates with my life experiences and opens up different ways of looking at things and new paths. My work is informed by my knowledge and experience as an athlete. I also have a great understanding for all matters of mental well-being.
Before I successfully completed my training as a non-medical practitioner and the three-year training in acupuncture at the Training Centre for Chinese Medicine Shou Zhong e.V., Berlin, I worked for many years as a tax clerk and business economist. I am still connected to the Shou Zhong Training Centre by assisting in the teaching as well as the management. I am a registered member of the AGTCM e.V. (Association for Chinese Medicine), which stands as a seal of quality for a high standard of quality in the training and practice of Chinese medicine.
WORKING PHILOSOPHY
I take the time and the patience to listen. In this way, a holistic picture of the person can only be created and the best therapy followed. I prefer the Japanese style of acupuncture with fine and thin needles. In acupucture, a varity of needles exists. The choice of the needles depends on the needs of the patient. Some patients require stronger stimulation by thicker and stronger needles to establish a harmonious flow of Qi. I prefer the Japanese style of acupuncture with fine and thin needles and working with non-invasive teishins. A Teishin is a type of rod that is made of different metals.
During the first session, a long conversation takes place, during which the person's medical history and the current living conditions are asked. This is followed by the first treatment. The duration of the first session is about 1.5 - 2 hours.
Each additional session lasts about 1 hour.
