Chinese Medicine und Acupuncture

in Berlin-Charlottenburg

Chinese medicine takes a holistic view of body, soul and spirit. In addition to the physical symptoms, the current life circumstances as well as the mental and emotional states are taken into account in therapy.
Acupuncture, moxibustion, indigenous herbal medicine and nutritional counseling are central elements of my practice for a wide variety of applications.

In China, ACUPUNCTURE developed over thousands of years through observation and new knowledge. Acupuncture is about creating a balance of Yin and Yang. Yin symbolizes water, Yang symbolizes fire. When balanced, the life energy Qi flows unimpeded through meridians, a network of pathways, and the person remains healthy. Individually stimulated acupuncture points stimulate meridians and associated organs. Chinese medicine takes into account physical, emotional, mental and life circumstances. The fields of application of acupuncture are diverse and include various complaints.

This involves heating acupuncture points by burning dried mugwort herb called moxa. Moxa is available as loose leaves or as herb pressed into cigars. Different methods are used:
- "Warm needle": a small cone of loose herb is placed on the needle and lit to conduct heat directly to the point.
- Burning the moxa cigar over the point using the "bird pick method" produces heat.
- Moxa cone: a small cone is placed on a ginger disc, which is placed on the spot to generate indirect heat.

A diet that corresponds to one's own constitution can contribute significantly to a person's recovery and maintenance of health. Chinese medicine includes nutrition as an essential factor in the consideration of the human being. I will be happy to advise you in my practice about the possibilities of a dietary change or adaptation to your needs.

Earacupuncture

The entire human organism is represented in the ear, so ear acupuncture can be used in addition to acupuncture or separately.

Cupping

In cupping, spherical glasses are placed on the affected skin areas with negative pressure. By sliding the glasses back and forth, tension and cramps can thus be relieved. This measure also promotes blood circulation.

Sometimes the emotional levels of a person are closed due to traumatic experiences. These can be made accessible again through complementary bodywork during acupuncture. In addition to acupuncture and primarily the rice grain moxa, gold, silver or copper sticks, so-called teishins, are also used, which restore the original energetic state of the person over a longer period of time. This can be used to access the emotional levels.

As a trained Chinese Medicine acupuncturist, I am influenced by the Japanese style in my work. I use fine and thin needles and treat non-invasively with teishins, a type of metal rod that can be made of different metals. I also work with my hands. Which working methods are used is decided on a case by case basis.
In my practice, space is given to talking and listening.
